My Favorite 💸 Heist Movies
The 11 movies below are some of my favories in this genre. Whenever this season or mood arrives, items from this list are my go-to comfort food. To qualify, a movie must be solidly in-genre and be highly rated (or purposefully bad). Either way, these are the cream of their respective crop. Ocean's Thirteen
No crazy twists, but everything played nicely and there was a much more focused plot.
The Italian Job
Most of the jokes didn’t age well, but the heist itself is good and it’s a great cast.
Now You See Me
A little too clever for its own good. More flash than bang. Still pretty fun and well produced with a great cast, but doesn't really stand to scrutiny
Logan Lucky
There was a lot to like. It was slow and the low key environment was a good change of pace. The characters were great and the cast was unreal. Great roles all around. The plot got a little confusing, but mostly got explained. Not the best heist movie, but not a terrible one.
How to Steal a Million
Charming old movie. Definitely a different style than today's heist movies, but definitely enjoyable.
The Thomas Crown Affair
Pretty good, but the pacing was strange. Not a lot of minutes of actual heists. Lots of sexy goings-on though
