The 14 movies below are some of my favories in this genre. Whenever this season or mood arrives, items from this list are my go-to comfort food. To qualify, a movie must be solidly in-genre and be highly rated (or purposefully bad). Either way, these are the cream of their respective crop.

Amazingly cute movie. Great cast, lots of great jokes, amazing sets and costumes. Really touching story about family. Great supporting cast too. Can't understate the representation aspect, either. Really a delight.

Cute enough! Has definitely aged and has some problematic parts, but Hathaway is great and the rest of the cast is pretty good. Best friend is the worst though.
