I love heists, so it should come as no surprise that I absolutely adore this book. The cons are fun, the worldbuilding advanced, and the dialogue consistently colorful. I loved how the interludes provided background about characters while setting things up for the next scene. Some of the characters are a little underbaked, but it doesn't detract much.
The narrator really knocked it out of the park, too. There are a lot of accents and he made it easy to tell everyone apart.

A very swashbuckling adventure. I liked the first one more (more complete world building and a more compelling and tight story) but this one was certainly good. Enjoyed seeing another side of "thievery", even though the heist wasn't as central a plot point. Felt a little contrived and rushed eventually, but I maintain that it was enjoyable throughout. Excited to see what the third has in store.

Really amazing worldbuilding. Exciting story without a lot of filler. I liked the non-linear nature of the first part. Plenty of swashbuckling.
