The Handmaid's Tale

Does a great job describing the situation while leaving so much up to the imagination. There's a lot that's tough in this book, how quickly society shifted really stuck out to me. The descent from normal society to Christian fascism happened after a couple of laws and some killings. Sort of scary to think about the fragility of it all. That's what makes this a classic, I guess!
