Rhythm games are categorized by a primary gameplay loop of doing something rhythmically. I've played 3 games in this genre so far.

Sayonara Wild Hearts

Drop-dead gorgeous. Stylistically superb. Gameplay was... fine. Very pretty but without much to back it up. Some intersting segments, but it was mostly a slightly-interactive video.

A DDR-style game with very light RPG elements. Fun enough, but there's not much to the story or anything that isn't the music gameplay itself.
