It feels like all time loop movies, this included, have an undercurrent of psychological horror. Nonetheless, it does a lovely job exploring the actual rules and mechanics behind the loop. It's also darkly funny and gives a lot of minutes to the emotional effect it's had on its participants. It's a fun, if introspective outing though, and Samberg does a pleasantly surprising amount of acting.
