A delightful continuation of a series that's quickly become a favorite. I appreciate his commitment to fair-play mysteries even if I basically never solve much myself. The clues are there if you're paying attention though! The heist setting was great and there were a lot of layers, per usual. The whole thing is wrapped in a great frame story, too This is maybe my favorite Ernest novel yet!

Stevenson proves once again he really knows what sets his books apart by seamlessly mixing the meta narrative into the main investigation. This self-described "holiday special" is as twisty a mystery as ever, packed full of the series' characteristic charm and humor. It was a good mystery, too, which I only guessed part of. There's an especially fun climax too.

An intricate puzzle-box of a mystery. Characters are good, pacing is prompt, and the author (once again) plays fair. It also kept its meta tone from the first book, which I continued to enjoy.

Just spectacular. Intricately planned, delicately spooled out, and kept me guessing until literally the final word. What a ride. Felt the closest to a modern Christie I've read in a while. I'm hungry for more.
